DIN Rail Equipment (e.g. Shelly Pro): Professional smart installations directly inside the central electrical panel

So far we've looked at how to "hide" tiny relays behind wall switches to control individual lamps. This is the perfect solution for small upgrades. But what about when we want to control the water heater (a huge 4000W load), the pool pump, or when we're doing a major renovation and want industrial reliability without "cramming" cables into narrow walls?

There, engineers and professional electricians leave the walls and are transported to the "heart" of the house: the Central Electrical Panel.

Electronic boards (no matter how good they are) sometimes break down. If you are building a new house and don't have the huge KNX budget, you can make the following amazing "hybrid" system using DIN rail equipment:

The electrician runs ALL lamp wires and ALL switch wires (with low voltage) directly to the main panel. In other words, no 230V current circulates in the wall, only command cables. Inside the panel are arrays of Shelly Pro 4PM (rail relays controlling 4 lines each).

The Result: You have a house wired to industrial standards (all the "brain" and currents are gathered in the panel), without Wi-Fi signals trying to penetrate the walls (since the relays are connected by Ethernet), and at a fraction of the cost of a pure KNX installation!
